Are Job/Career Fairs still relevant in an hyper-connected world and if so, who do they serve?

<br>Clarification added May 22, 2012 8:45 PM: I agree with many of you, yes Job Fairs in niche markets/industries are useful and they do provide somewhat quality face time with perspective candidates. But I would like to dive deeper into the types of people who go to Job Fairs. Would a mid to senior management person go to a job fair?
